Q1:How can I obtain information about events held at Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Arts Hall? A:The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taoyuan City Government publishes the following month's activities and events on the "Taoyuan Cultural Affairs" bulletin on the 25th of each month, which also includes activities and events of the current month. This bulletin is available at the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taoyuan City Government, Taoyuan Arts Center, The Zhongli Arts Hall and the public library. You may also visit the following box office websites to find out about recent ticket sales information on art events: Arts Ticket at www.artsticket.com.tw, Era Ticket at www.ticket.com.tw, and KHAM Ticket at www.kham.com.tw

Q2:How do I purchase tickets for admission? A:Tickets for admission can be purchased at the information desks of Taoyuan Concert Hall, Taoyuan Arts Center and Zhongli Arts Hall, or via box office websites at www.artsticket.com.tw(new website: https://www.opentix.life/), www.ticket.com.tw, and www.kham.com.tw. In addition, you can buy tickets at convenience store such as 7-11, Hi-Life or Family Mart.

Except for ticketing selling, some event sponsors and organizers may give complimentary tickets to public. However, how to claim complimentary tickets may vary depending on each organizer. We suggest that you may get the Taoyuan Cultural Affairs bulletin in each month to find out the available programs for complimentary tickets, or call Taoyuan Arts Center at (03)-317-0511 to obtain information.

Q3:What are the operating hours for the Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Arts Hall? A:Hours of operation are Monday to Sunday from 9:00am – 5:00pm, but closed on national holidays.

Q4:How do I get to the Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Art Hall? A:Please visit our website and check "Transportation" for details.

Q5:Are there parking lots at Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Arts Hall? A:There are only 89 parking spaces at the underground parking of the Taoyuan Arts Center. The Zhongli Arts Hall underground parking lot has 46 parking spaces for cars. Additional parking is available at the Central Parking Lot and Yanping Road Parking Lot near the Zhongli Art Hall.

Q6:Is formal attire required when attending performances at the Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Art Hall? A:It is standard protocol to dress neatly and appropriately when attending performances and enjoying art exhibitions. Please do not wear sandals to these two places when attending an exhibition or performance.

Q7:Is there an age limit to any performances? A:For programs that do not specify an age limit, guests age 7 or above (first graders) are welcome. Family programs (as indicated in the Taoyuan Cultural Affairs pamphlet) are open to children ages 3 and above.
For special children's programs, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent. Elderly people who are physically challenged or have other health issues should be accompanied by a family member in order to maintain safety.

Q8:Do all programs require 1 ticket per person, even for hand-held kids who do not take a seat? A:Unless otherwise specified, all programs require one ticket per person, even if they are family programs. Every child requires a ticket for admission. In order to maintain order and safety, parents with young children need to buy tickets with adjacent seats (please do not buy tickets in different price ranges, different seating areas or seats). We will lend seat cushions to children under the height of 90 cm.

Q9:Are wheelchair seats available in the auditorium of the Performance Hall of Taoyuan Arts Center and the Concert Hall of the Zhongli Arts Hall? A:There is a wheelchair section at the right side of the stage in the auditorium of the Performance Hall of Taoyuan Arts Center, which accommodates up to 5 wheelchairs with accompanying seats for family members. The Concert Hall at the Zhongli Arts Hall has an adjustable wheelchair section that accommodates up to 6 wheelchairs. All programs that require ticket admission have a designated wheelchair section, so tickets requiring wheelchair access can be purchased. However, for programs that are free admission, please telephone three days in advance the Center at 03-317-0511 and the Hall at 03-4258804 ext. 201, and let us know if you need wheelchair seats. The elevator at the Zhongli Arts Hall that goes from the underground parking lot to the first floor is not wheelchair accessible. Please enter from the first floor entrance if you need wheelchair access.

Q10:Which spaces are available for art organizations to rent at the Taoyuan Arts Center and the Zhongli Art Hall? A:As described below 1.The Taoyuan Arts Center has the following professional exhibition and display spaces available for organizations and individuals to rent: the Performance Hall(1406 capacity), Exhibition Space(29,748 square feet), square by the front entrance, outdoor arena(21,812 square feet), 2 large Band Rehearsal rooms, 2 small Band Rehearsal rooms, a large Rehearsal room, and 2 small rehearsal rooms. For additional inquiries or related matters, please call us at (03)317-0511. 2.The Zhongli Art Hall has the following professional exhibition and display spaces available for organizations and individuals to rent: Concert Hall (1036 capacity), No. 1 Exhibition Room (110 square meters), and No. 2 Exhibition Room (110 square meters). Q11:What is the procedure for renting the facilities at Arts Facilities Management Center, Taoyuan? A:All legally established performance groups, individual groups, agents, cultural affairs organizations, culture and education foundations, related institutions or individuals are required to prepare a proposal, and submit it 8 weeks before the intended rental date of our facility.

Q12:What's the application review standard for performance group or association when submitting application for spaces rental? A:According to the "Taoyuan County Regulations for using Taoyuan Performing Arts Center”, Regulation No. 4 specifies that priorities are granted to cultural arts events, domestic and international arts and cultural exchanges, international cultural and arts activity, or other cultural and educational events that are agreed by our bureau.

Q13:How are rental fee and security deposit collected? A:Once a rental agreement is agreed upon, the person responsible for the registration must pay the full rental fee and security deposit 4 weeks prior to the date of use. Space reserved for agreed upon date will be cancelled if fees are not paid by the due date.

Q14:How is security deposits returned? A:Once you are done with the rental space and the items rented are returned in their original condition, and after we have inspected them, the security deposit will be returned without interest within two weeks after the completion of the event.

Q15:If performance has to be cancelled due to members of the team are unable to perform, can fees be returned? A:If applicant cancels two weeks before the registered performance date, site rental fee will be fully refunded while 50% of the security deposit will be withheld. If cancellation notification is past the two week prior notice requirement, only 50% of the site rental fee will be refunded but the security deposit will not be refunded.

Q16:How will schedule changes be accommodated if performing team is unable to perform on scheduled date and need to reschedule? A:If the performance date needs to be rescheduled due to unforeseeable circumstances, the applicant needs to notify us two weeks before the registered date and reconfirm the next available date.

Q17:Can the rented space be decorated with performance details and related promotional items? A:When permission is given, it is okay to post promotional logos on site. However, please do not use double sided foam tape or hard-to-remove adhesives on the site and equipment. We also have signs, tables, chairs, and table clothes for using.

Q18:During the performance, can a donation box be placed on site for fundraising? A:During performances, soliciting contributions and fundraising activity are not allowed. If the event involves charitable sales, applicant needs to get permission from the Taoyuan City Government Bureau of Social Affairs in advance. Merchandise related to the performance sold at lobby is not limited.

Q19:Are programs with religious topics permitted in the Taoyuan Arts Center? A:According to the “Taoyuan County Regulations for using Taoyuan Performing Arts Center,” Regulation No. 4 specifies that priorities are granted to cultural arts events, domestic and international arts and cultural exchanges, international cultural and arts activity, or other cultural and educational events agreed by our bureau. Therefore, our center does not handle religious advocacy programs.

Q20:Will the Taoyuan Arts Center be rented for company year-end parties, and graduation ceremonies for workshops or schools? A:According to the“Taoyuan County Regulations for using Taoyuan Performing Arts Center,” Regulation No. 4 specifies that priorities are granted to cultural arts events, domestic and international arts and cultural exchanges, international cultural and arts activity, or other cultural and educational events agreed by our bureau. Therefore, our center does not handle company year-end parties, workshop or school graduation ceremonies or related activities.

Q21:Can community associations or community groups rent space in the Taoyuan Arts Center? A:According to the "Taoyuan County Regulations for using Taoyuan Performing Arts Center,” Regulation No. 4 specifies that priorities are granted to cultural arts events, domestic and international arts and cultural exchanges, international cultural and arts activity, or other cultural and educational events agreed by our bureau. Therefore, community associations and community groups can't rent facilities in the center. However, if the proposal for an arts and cultural exhibition and activity submitted is in the nature of public welfare, societal concerns, assistance to the disadvantaged, and topics that provoke positive thinking and are educational, once the center and the Cultural Affairs Bureau has reviewed the case carefully and granted permission, such events can be held at the center.
